With a fleet of 89 modern boeings and airbuses and six A380's set to take action in 2010-2011 to cover Bangkok-London-Paris routes. Opening in 1960 Thai airways has came a long way. In recent years many have now decided to use Thai Airways for there trips to long haul destinations instead of rivals such as Singapore Airlines. Thai offers three beautiful classes. Emirates

Emirates is one of the greatest airlines of the 21st centerury and yling to over 92 destinations world wide in 55 different countries. Like anything coming out the emirate of Dubai, Emirates is growing so fast that it will dominant the airline industry. Set to become the worlds largest airline by 2025 and already making other airlines shiver. Founded in 1985 Emirates now is a world class airline and has a fleet of over 124 and 219 more aircrafts on oder. With already four A380's sailing the skies it has one of the largest fleets of A380's it also promises 54 more to come. That number will give Emirates the largest A380 fleet ever.
Emirates offers three beautiful classes. Economy fitted with headrest mounted lcd screens, bussiness class, and possibly the best first class in the world. Emirates expects nearly 17,000 people on their cabin crew pay roll by 2011! And offers some of the best benefits out of any airline in the world. And has nearly 145 nationailties in their cabin crew team, making it a truley global airline. This has made Emirates the most desirabel airline to work for. With the huge oder of A380's Emirates is hiring 120 cabin crew workers a week!
Emirates pretty much is the number 1 sponser for anything these days. The Melbourne Cup, Dubai shopping festival, Collingwood Football Club and is also co funding a new stadium for the rugby sevens cup. Emirates also has a 60,000 seat stadium in Munich-Germany. All I can is i would love to work for Emirates when I am 21...and it really truly be another amazing story coming out of the wonder city of Dubai.

Cathay Pacific

Cathay Pacific is one of only six 5 star airlines in this world. Founded in 1946 and flying to more then 46 destinations it is rivaling Singapore Airlines and Emirates to be Asia's leading airline. Cathay Pacific does not hire easy. You must be fluent in English and Mandarin+Cantonese and be fluent in another language. The high expectations for this cabin crew is what has lead Cathay Pacific to acheive a 5 star rating. Cathay Pacific is the flag carrier for the Chinese ruled territory of Hong kong. Cathay Pacific has not odered any A380's yet witch may hold it back compared to its rivals. Good luck Cathay Pacific. Your a lovely Airline.

Etihad (Abu Dhabi, UAE)

Etihad is one of my favourtie airlines, And one I would like to work for. Etihad along with Emirates is from the oil rich and rapidly fast growing country of luxury the United Arabian Emirates. Although alot of you think of Emirates when it comes to UAE aviation Etihad is the national flag carrier and is located in the countries capital and 2nd biggest city, Abu Dhabi witch is Dubai's arch rival and Etihad is Emirates arch rival also. Etihad is one of the fastest growing airlines in the world and offers beautiful cabin interiors and exterior designs (my favourite airline inteiors) like Emirates and Qatar airways. Etihad is only a young but big airline and opened it's terminals in 2003. With 50 destinations international it's got a hell of alot of destinations for such a young airline and that number is going to only get bigger in the next 2 years. Etihad in 2004 carried 340,000 passanger-In 2008 it carried 6 million! And this will grow thanks to its large advertising here in Australia. While most Australian are asking "what the hell is etiod?" Well "Etihad" has just started doing 7 flights a day to Melbourne and Sydney and stealing more flights from Qantas once again and do you remember those two stupid bussiness men from downunder, the airline they were on was Etihad. And since Qantas does not fly to the UAE this is a great advantage. Etihad currently has 10 A380's on oder and will be flying the skys in 2012.

If you are looking for an airline to work for overseas. Etihad is a greta option. $54,000 aussie dollars a year and an luxury shared apartment in Abu Dhabi and listen to this! They have frequent tasks for their cabin crew to sell merchandises on the planes. And who ever sells the most gets a prise. One air stewardess recevied a brand new mini cooper! I will post more about these bonuses very soon.

Garuda Indonesia

Ok, I'm of to Bali in 2 weeks. First international holiday for me. And I am really excited espically since I have saved up $450 aussie dollars. Witch is about 4 and a half million rupiah. And from what I know and I have heard Bali is incredibaly cheap. Anyway...Garuda is owned by the Indonesian Goverment. It is the flag carrier of airline for Indonesia. Although it has had some real problems with crashes ect it is alot better these days. Garuda does not offer extremely flashy cabins or dont have load of A380's on the way. But Garuda manages to fly pretty much all over Asia and Oceania. Thanks to Aussie's in large demand of cheap flights to Bali every day of the year Garuda manages to steal a heck of alot of bussiness of Jetstar and its flights to Denpasar Bali. Garuda has two travel classes, Economy and Bussiness. Economy over head lcd screens and a choice of meals for international flights and digital map screens. While bussiness offers large seats with built in armrest dvd players and lounges at all major airports.
I wish all the best to Garuda for the future.

Qantas

I Thought I should start of my first post with Qantas. The flag carrier of my home nation. (Australia)

Qantas is the 2nd oldest airline in the world. And infact has never had a crash out of 88 years of avation. Unfortunley recently though their planes have had some matimence problems.

Qantas offers 4 classes. Economy, Premium Economy, Bussiness Class and first class. Qantas is the 2nd airline to fly the Airbus A380. Qantas flys to 144 destinations (Including domestic destinations of Australia) Qantas manages to be one of the most famouse and well known airlines in the world along with Singapore Airlines, Emirates ect. And holds a 4 star rating by Skytrax.

Kudos Qantas.

Welcome airline lovers!

This is my new airline blog. I aspire to work for one of the worlds major airlines by the time im 20 or 21. Ethier Qatar, Etihad or Emirates. I love the idea of being a flight attendant because you can travel the world and work in a nice enivorment plus it is such a class sophisticated job espically when your working internationally on a beautiful 5 star airline. I have promised to keep this blog for a long time even when I am and air steward. Stay tuned for my dream of being an Air steward.
